Sick of roasted nuts? The Panigale Heat Shield Kit is a custom, die-cut heat shield set designed to drastically reduce radiant heat from the seat/bodywork of your 899/959, 1199/1299, V2, or Streetfighter V2! It works with all seat configurations- stock, comfort, racing, etc.

NOTE: OEM bodywork, subframe, seat are not included- only the heat shielding material itself!

An aluminized, adhesive fiberglass material is used to create the heat shields. It's capable of withstanding radiant heat up to 2000°F, and the adhesive can withstand temperatures of 500-600°F, so there's no need to worry about the material being damaged by heat from the engine or exhaust. The kit has undergone many months of development and real-world testing on several bikes in extreme Southern California desert heat, and has held up perfectly! Zero degradation of the aluminized surface or adhesive has been noted.

The kit comes with a full-color, 4-page instruction manual detailing the install process. Anyone with very basic hand tools and about 40 minutes can install it!

Check out the thermal imaging, which showcases a 15°F difference in seat/bodywork temperature after installation of the heat shield kit. These were taken on a FLIR thermal camera after a 40-minute ride consisting of about 30 minutes freeway, and 10 minutes on local streets. 

This kit has made me fall in love with my Panigale all over again. It's been the difference between nearly selling the bike, and now planning to keep it for years. I installed the heat shield on the seat only it reduced the heat considerably. I have ordered a sport seat for the ducati v2 streetfighter which will be arriving soon. I will be ordering a seat heat shieled for the new seat if I keep it.

Ducati Panagale 1299 heat shield

Before I took the plunge and bought the 1299 I heard about the heat problems and even the dealer who sold it to me laughed about it. Anyway I loved it and did not care, however I use the bike to get in and out of central London in some heavy traffic. I soon began to understand why people were commenting and complaining. I found Ducati spacers on the web and the heat shielding reviews were promising so I went ahead and got it ordered. Once it arrived and I unpacked it I was really pleased with the quality and accuracy in the individual pieces. It did not take long to strip the parts off the bike with the help of the detailed instructions from Ducati Spacers, colour photos and step by step guide.
The first ride was on a weekend and I did not feel any benefit, but once I stopped in traffic it wasn’t immediately apparent I had bought a quality product. Heat must be reduced by 30% +/-. All in all great product. I also bought the throttle kit to take up the slack in the twist grip, also a good easy to install product.

Precise measurements but could be stickier. Some areas lifting after few months. Definitely do help with heat though.
